Worcester Art Museum hires Higgins Armory curator

First, the Worcester Art Museum acquired the Higgins Armory Museum’s prized collection. Tuesday, the museum said it has hired Jeffrey Forgeng, the longtime curator of the now-closed Higgins, to become its first curator of arms and armor and medieval art. Forgeng
(inset) advised the Worcester Art
Museum as it prepared to showcase the Higgins collection in its new “Knights!” exhibition, curated by WAM director Matthias Waschek, which opens this week. Forgeng starts his new job Aug. 1.
