Harvard’s Rothko murals to be seen in new light

Worth millions of dollars, the five murals by famed abstract expressionist Mark Rothko were so damaged that Harvard packed them away 35 years ago. Now, thanks to a revolutionary and potentially controversial invention, the Harvard Art Museums will show the Rothkos in a new special exhibitions gallery to mark the November completion of its $350 million expansion project.
