Things are looking up for the struggling Londonderry, Vt., resort, where the trails are narrow and 10-year-olds ski unsupervised all day. An effort to turn the mountain into a cooperative is expected to hit its goal of nearly $1 million this season. A second chair lift is up and running, snow-making equipment can now reach half the trails, and the amount of tree skiing has doubled, largely thanks to volunteer crews.
