Boy Scouts seek to expand their membership in the inner city

The Scouts’ latest recruits hail from urban ZIP codes

Since the start of the year, the Boston Minuteman Council, a division of Boy Scouts of America, has been pressing to curb the race divide that marks its membership. The council is recruiting boys in the inner city in an effort to increase its numbers and promote diversity in scouting’s ranks.
