The California chip maker cut its outlook for the fiscal third quarter, citing weaker economic conditions in Asia and Europe. Exar, which designs chips for power management and device connectors, expects revenue of no more than $30 million, down from a forecast of at least $32 million and less than the average analyst estimate of $33.1 million.
