Solicitors took big bite of donations

In 2010, professional solicitors raised over $367 million in Massachusetts, nearly $39 million more than in 2009. About $166 million, or 45 percent, ended up with the charities. The data are part of a report released yesterday by Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley.
