Milton Hospital, an 81-bed community hospital that has operated independently for 108 years, is starting 2012 with a new name: Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton. And its new Boston parent, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, will start the year with the first of what is expected to be a string of acquisitions, clinical partnerships, and physician group alignments as it prepares to compete in a fast-changing market.
