BNY Mellon near settlement of foreign exchange claims, US says

Bank of New York Mellon Corp. is close to settling some claims by US prosecutors in a lawsuit accusing the bank of overcharging customers for foreign-exchange trading, according to a court filing. (Massachusetts Secretary of State William F. Galvin also has sued BNY Mellon for allegedly overcharging the Massachusetts state pension fund by $29 million on foreign exchange.)
