Vivus, the California maker of the experimental weight loss pill Qnexa, jumped after US regulators ordered changes to a proposed warning label that may mean more women would be able to take the drug. The FDA asked Vivus to remove a contraindication that the drug’s risks outweighed possible benefits for women who could have children, Vivus said. The warning still applies to pregnant women.
