Comcast raising cable prices for 2d time in 10 months
RCN customers will also see increases starting in February
Cable prices in Boston are on the rise again, just ten months after sharp hikes in fees charged by Comcast Corp. provoked both Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino and Senator John Kerry to request remedial action by the Federal Communications Commission. Starting with next month’s billing cycle, the average bill for Comcast customers will increase by 2.9 percent in Greater Boston. RCN Telecom Services LLC said many of its customer’s bills will also increase by an average $2.50 to $7.75.
