Pine Street Inn goes into corporate catering

The shelter’s year-old corporate catering business, which provides sandwich platters and trays of baked ziti to organizations such as the Boston Foundation and Simmons College, is an extension of Pine Street’s industrial food service operation that provides meals to detox centers, halfway houses, and other shelters. Together, these culinary enterprises, called iCater, bring in about $1 million a year to fund the shelter’s workforce training program.
