Goodwin Procter names Insolia managing partner

The law firm Goodwin Procter has named Robert S. Insolia managing partner, the first to be based in New York City. Regina M. Pisa, who has served as both Chairman and Managing Partner of the law firm since 1998, will continue to serve as Chairman.

Insolia joined Goodwin in 1997 as a founding partner of Goodwin’s New York office, which he chaired through 2004. He chaired New York’s Business Law Department through 2007, and has served on the firm’s Executive Committee. He currently serves as co-chair of Goodwin’s Real Estate Private Investment Fund Practice.

Under the new firm leadership structure, Pisa will expand her focus on overall firm strategy and policy formation, external growth efforts, client relations and external communications activities.  As Managing Partner, Insolia will oversee day-to-day operations at the firm and manage the performance of its practice areas and attorneys, including oversight of partner relations and performance.

Goodwin Procter LLP has offices in Boston, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C.
