The California-based office-supply manufacturer dropped after Avery’s preliminary fourth-quarter earnings and 2012 forecast trailed analysts’ estimates. The company said it probably earned 36 cents per share in the period. Profit in 2012 may be $1.80 to $2.15 due to “uncertainty, particularly in Europe,’’ finance chief Mitchell Butier said. Analysts estimated 46 cents and $2.72 respectively.
