Avid stock rallies the most since 2002

Avid Technology Inc. rallied 19 percent, the most since October 2002. The Burlington company, which makes software for digital audio and video production, reported a fourth-quarter profit of 38 cents a share. That beat the average analyst estimate of 19 cents. Revenue was $185.3 million for the three-month period ended Dec. 31, compared to $195.3 million for the same period in 2010.
