Boston officials approve apartment, hotel complex near TD Garden

Boston officials last night approved a revised plan for construction of the Merano, a complex with 230 apartments, a hotel, and stores on state-owned land across from TD Garden. Boston Development Group intends to break ground on the $165 million complex within the next couple of months. In its latest plan, approved by the Boston Redevelopment Authority last night, the firm will build the apartments and hotel above retail shops, restaurants, and 184 parking spaces.
