Dow briefly breaks 13,000 mark


It came and went in a flash, but its symbolic power couldn’t be dismissed. The Dow crossed 13,000 for the first time since 2008. Dan McMahon of Raymond James said the mark is “just a big round number’’ as a matter of market fundamentals, but “Psychologically, it matters.’’ The milestone could motivate investors to pump more money back into the market.
