Mitt Romney’s bulldog on tax loopholes

Mitt Romney says he cut taxes as governor of Massachusetts. His Republican presidential challengers say he raised state taxes with fees and a crackdown on business tax loopholes. The man behind the loophole attack, former state revenue commissioner Alan LeBovidge, says he had lots of leeway thanks to a bad economy and struggling state budget. But LeBovidge says Romney also signed off on the policy out of a sense of fairness.
