Once again, the Dow flirts with 13,000

The Dow missed 13,000. Again. A burst of selling at the closing bell drove the Dow lower after it hovered around the milestone for most of the afternoon. The Dow fell 100 points at the open, then climbed back above 13,000 after a report that the number of Americans who signed contracts to buy homes rose in January to the highest in almost two years.
