Walgreens is taking over part of the former Borders space in Downtown Crossing.
The Illinois drugstore chain will model the Boston location after two it recently opened in New York City and Chicago (pictured).
Similar to its Duane Reade store in NewYork City, Walgreens plans to highlight the architectural details of the historic Downtown Crossing space.
Fresh hand-rolled sushi, a juice bar, and eyebrow grooming are among the amenities that the upscale Walgreens will be offering.
A juice bar will offer made-to-order smoothies.
