Overstock slumped after the online discount retailer reported fourth-quarter sales of $314.1 million, trailing estimates of $377.5 million. The company also posted a loss for the year of $19.4 million, compared with the previous year’s profit of $13.9 million. Overstock said revenues were hurt in part by a shift of resources away from coupons and other sitewide promotions into its Club O loyalty program.
