High-tech Fenway Park keeps its charm

Ballpark is 100, but its cutting-edge technology keeps fans connected - unobtrusively

This year, as Fenway Park celebrates its 100th anniversary, most visitors to the park will be anticipating an old-fashioned baseball experience that harkens back to a simpler time. But fans will still expect to use their smartphones to capture and transmit pictures of the game; visiting media will need high-speed WiFi connections to upload stories and game photos; players and coaches always demand the very latest edge that technology can provide. And who doesn’t want a scoreboard that can quickly display replays, highlights, and statistics in crisp high-resolution? Steve Conley, 44, is the guy who has to provide this technology without spoiling the appeal of Fenway.
