Waltham-based Care.com expands to UK

Care.com, a Waltham-based online subscription service for finding caregivers, is expanding to the UK, the company said Monday. It’s the first overseas operation for the six-year-old company. The company launched the website, uk.care.com, last week and has already received its first families looking for caregivers, in addition to thousands of applications from care providers, according to Care.com spokesperson Donna Levin. A small team of Care.com employees are working out of the company’s new office in London.
