Waters warns its earnings will fall short

Waters Corp’s products include systems for the rapid analysis of drinking water supplies.

Waters Corp. slid 7.4 percent, the most since Oct. 7. The Milford company forecast full-year earnings of $5.15 a share, at most. That would trail the average analyst estimate of $5.24. Waters designs and manufactures analytical technologies that use liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and thermal analysis. It had $1.6 billion in revenue in 2010, according to its website.
