Former Boston bank partners back with separate ventures

Nick Lazares and Rick Wayne spent many years as co-chief executives growing Capital Crossing Bank in Boston before they sold the business in 2007. After a break, they went their separate ways but both saw opportunities in the rubble of the banking industry’s collapse. Now they’re running separate banks - from Boston offices blocks apart - trying to grow new institutions with the help of investors who see a big opportunity.
