Shares of Garmin Ltd., a Swiss company that makes GPS devices, fell after ­rival TomTom NV said it will supply map data to Apple Inc. TomTom is based in Amsterdam and had performed poorly in comparison to larger rival Garmin. But, ­analysts said, TomTom’s deal with Apple will improve its image and give it access to ­Apple’s larger user base.
