KB Home climbs after reporting narrower loss, increased sales

KB Home, the Los Angeles home builder that targets first-time buyers, rose after it reported a narrower second-quarter loss as the company sold more houses at higher prices. The net loss for the period was $24.1 million, or 31 cents a share, compared with a loss of $68.5 million, or 89 cents, a year earlier, the company said. Analysts estimated an average loss of 35 cents.
