After a two-year drought in which no new hotels opened, six are set to open in the next two years, from the modern 480-bed hostel that launched earlier this month to a 210-room Courtyard by Marriott near TD Garden slated for 2014. In all, more than 4,000 new hotel rooms have been proposed in Boston, an expansion that could attract more conventions and rein in climbing room rates in a city that is currently sold out 79 percent of the time.
