Skyworks Solutions Inc. said quarterly profit rose on stronger sales of its chips for cellphones and tablet computers. The results beat analysts’ expectations. The company, which recently partnered with Broadcom Corp. to make Wi-Fi chips, has also gained market share in other businesses, such as automotive, medical, and broadband communications. Profit was $49.3 million, or 26 cents per share, compared with $51.5 million, or 27 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose 9 percent to $389 million.
