The Massachusetts economy lost jobs for the first time in seven months in June, reflecting a sharp slowdown as looming uncertainties about the economic crisis in Europe and political gridlock in the United State make employers cautious about hiring. Massachusetts employers cut payrolls by 2,600 jobs last month, the first job losses since November, as the unemployment rate held steady at 6 percent, the state Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development reported Thursday.
