Not even McDonald’s Corp. has an iron stomach for global economic problems. Quarterly net income fell 4.5 percent to $1.35 billion. A stronger dollar hurt the value of sales abroad, reducing profit by 7 cents a share. McDonald’s is also facing higher costs for ingredients and labor. Global sales rose 3.7 percent in the quarter — the slowest growth since 2009.
