Office supply giant Staples Inc. is holding its annual school supply drive, and this year, the company plans to donate more than $130,000 worth of supplies to needy students nationwide.

Staples’ partner in the program is DoSomething.org, an organization that promotes teens and social change.

To highlight the program, Framingham-based Staples held an event in Los Angeles that had celebrities stuffing backpacks with school supplies for local students in need.

This year’s celebrity line-up included recording artist Bella Thorne as well as Harry Shum Jr., Kendall and Kylie Jenner, JoJo, and Kat Graham.

Framingham-based Staples now has annual sales of about $25 billion.
