The women’s apparel chain fired its chief executive, Susan McGalla, amid plunging sales. While it seeks a replacement, the chief operating officer and chief financial officer will step in. McGalla joined Wet Seal in January 2011. Sales in the current quarter are expected to decline as much as 11 percent. The shares have fallen 18 percent this year.
