June was the strongest month for Massachusetts home sales in two years as increasingly confident buyers flocked to the market.

Statewide, 5,498 single-family homes were sold last month, a 26 percent increase from June 2011. That marked the highest volume of sales during any month since June 2010, according to Warren Group, a Boston company that tracks local real estate.
