Gas prices up 9 cents in Mass.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up nine cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s August 14th survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.679 per gallon, nine cents more than a week ago. Prices locally are up 20 cents over the past month. The current price is three cents below the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.70. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $3.66.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 30 cents, from a low of $3.55 to a high of $3.85.
