eClinicalWorks, a privately held company specializing in ambulatory clinical systems, announced the expansion of its Westborough headquarters by the purchase of a 61,000-square-foot building for $7.7 million.

The purchase of 1 Technology Dr. will be used in conjunction with the company’s 100,000-square-foot location at 2 Technology Dr. and will provide the additional space needed to “accommodate future expansion,” eClinical Works said in a press release.

With 2,100 employees, eClinicalWorks reported that its revenues last year broke $200 million for the first time in company history.
