Interleukin Genetics has a new CEO

Interleukin Genetics Inc., a Waltham company that develops and markets genetic tests, said that Lewis H. Bender has resigned as chief executive and as a company board member “to pursue other business opportunities.”

The company added that its board of directors has appointed Kenneth S. Kornman, company founder and current president and chief scientific officer, as chief executive and a board member.

Kornman will also continue his duties as president and chief scientific officer, Interleukin Genetics said in a press release.
