Skanska USA said Wednesday that it has signed a $34.5 million contract to provide construction management services for the construction of Bancroft Elementary School, a public school in Andover.
The project includes the construction of a new 106,486-square-foot building adjacent to the existing Bancroft Elementary School that first opened in 1969. The new building will accommodate 680 students and will include classrooms and administrative space as well as a library, a gymnasium, and a cafeteria, Skanska USA said.
The multi-phased project has just began and is scheduled for completion in November 2014, Skanska USA said.
The architect is Symmes Maini & McKee Associates, and the owner’s project manager is Dore & Whittier.
Headquartered in New York, Skanska USA is a construction and development company with 39 offices across the country.
