The average price for gas in Massachusetts is $3.809 per gallon in the latest weekly AAA survey, up 4 cents from the previous week’s average, AAA Southern New England said Monday.

The local weekly averages are up 13 cents over the past month.

The national average for gas is $3.82 a gallon. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was $3.65, AAA Southern New England said.

AAA weekly surveys focus on self-serve, regular unleaded gas.
