Sept. 12 (Bloomberg)—Sanofi won U.S. clearance for its multiple sclerosis treatment Aubagio, enabling the French drugmaker to enter a $12 billion industry.
The Food and Drug Administration approved Aubagio, a once- a-day pill for the debilitating disease, the agency said today in a statement. The treatment, also known by the scientific name of teriflunomide, is aimed at patients in the initial phases of the disease, Paris-based Sanofi has said.
