Romney won’t release names of donation bundlers
Campaign declines to make the names public
Some of Mitt Romney’s largest Massachusetts financial backers are well known. Their support is public because they’ve given to a Romney super PAC, which is required under federal law to disclose the gifts it receives. But there’s a whole other swath of influential Romney supporters whose names voters can only guess at, because the campaign refuses to reveal them. They are known as “bundlers,” people who write big checks themselves and also press their friends and associates to donate to the campaign.
