T.J. Maxx has scheduled a job fair for later this week to hire more than 80 employees for the new store it is planning to open at the CambridgeSide Galleria shopping complex.

The three-day fair is set to take place at CambridgeSide Galleria on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, said T.J. Maxx, a chain of off-price apparel and home furnishings stores operated by TJX Cos. of Framingham.

The new T.J. Maxx, which will occupy 23,000 square feet of space in the mall, is set to open in late October, the company said.
