Nuance Communications buying Ditech Networks

Nuance Communications, the Burlington company that makes Dragon-brand speech recognition products, is buying Ditech Networks to bolster its mobile and enterprise voice businesses. Its tools have helped power the iPhone’s virtual assistant, Siri. Ditech makes voice-processing equipment for the telecomm industry. Nuance will pay $1.45 per share, or about $22.5 million.
