Worries about Europe again at forefront


Stocks meandered as fear about Europe overshadowed the recent excitement about central banks’ efforts to lift the global economy. A German confidence index fell for a fifth month; the concern is that its rebound will be weighed down by the rest of Europe, much of which is in recession. US traders expect more good housing market news this week.
