Heartland Payment Systems, which offers bank card-based payment-processing services, was cut to “sell” by Stifel Nicolaus as part of a downgrade of the sector, Dow Jones said. Stifel cited Heartland’s exposure to small- and mid-size merchants; analysts expect prices to collapse in this segment as such merchants face inflated costs.
