Newton-based TripAdvisor Inc. has acquired Wanderfly, a “travel inspiration” site where visitors can select the attributes they want in a trip, such as “beach,” “budget,” and “off the beaten path,” and get recommendations for destinations. Users can create Pinterest-type boards of cities, bookmarking favorite attractions and restaurants, and other users can view their recommendations. TripAdvisor, a travel review site based, did not disclose terms of the acquisition.
