American Express and Walmart are rolling out Bluebird, a prepaid card they say offers state-of-the-art services to help shoppers manage finances in an age of rising fees for checking and debit accounts. That means tough competition for Green Dot, though it has a contract until 2015 with Walmart, from which it gets more than 60 percent of its revenue.
