Yum Brands gains as sales in China rebound

The regular session was down for the owner of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC. But Yum said quarterly net income rose 23 percent due to a turnaround in its China division and higher US sales, and the stock rose in after-hours trading. It was up 4.2 percent at 6:45 p.m. Yum also raised its guidance for the year. It reported net income of $471 million, up from $383 million a year before.
