Boston-Power Inc., a Westborough-based company focused on lithium-ion battery cells, said Wednesday that founder Christina Lampe-Onnerud has resigned from the company’s board of directors.
Just over a year ago the company said it was receiving $125 million in new funding from a combination of private equity investment and support from China. Although the company has its headquarters in Massachusetts, it has a technology center in Beijing and manufacturing operations in Asia, its website says.
Some automakers think that lithium-ion batteries have major potential for electric vehicles.
