38 Studios property on the block

You could soon have a chance to buy a piece of Curt Schilling’s failed Providence video game company.

SJ Corio Co., the company auctioning off computers and other tangible goods for 38 Studios LLC, said Thursday that it will let online bidders participate in the auctions later this month.

The auctions, which the company had previously announced, are scheduled to be held at 38 Studios’ former offices at 1954 Greenspring Drive in Timonium, Md., at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 16 and One Empire St. in Providence at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 23. Online bidding will be available through www.bidspotter.com.

The auctions will not include 38 Studios’ intellectual property. Richard J. Land, the court-appointed receiver, has previously said he hopes to sell those items separately in coming months.
