Third-quarter profit rose almost 14 percent for JB Hunt Transport

Trucking company JB Hunt Transport Services said third-quarter profit rose almost 14 percent, even as its trucking business declined. Its intermodal business, which transports shipping containers by sea, rail, or truck, reported strong growth. Its North American trucking business shipped almost 2,300 fewer loads than it did in the same period a year earlier — a 2 percent drop.
